AK Retirement

Mr. Allen King recently announced that he would be retiring from the Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation Board of Directors in August of 2022. Mr. King was appointed to his position in 1972, making him a member of the board for 50 years.

King is a native of Haywood County where he has shown commitment to the community through his role as director, long-time county commissioner, local farmer, as well as others. “We appreciate Mr. King’s devoted service to the co-op, its members and its employees,” said STEMC President Kevin Murphy. “We have all benefitted greatly from his leadership and wish him the very best in his retirement.”
